Formative assessment guidance
To aid triangulation of information at 6 months formative
assessments are recommended to be done by a Medway trainer other
than the trainees ES. Trainee should go to the assessors practice.
During assessment:
- look at a recording of at least one consultation for a COT
- Review of e-portfolio including assessments, 4 CbDs/COTs by 4 months and 9 by 8 months, MSF, PSQ, OOHs, CPR, PDP and learning log
- Focus on CSA concerns
Talk/Listen about training experience:
- How is it going? Did you have an induction? Managing the e-portfolio? Plans for AKT/CSA, Audit Any worries/concerns/problems?
- Any remaining gaps in e-portfolio and plans to fill them. Audit/AKT/CSA progress. Worries/concerns/problems. Plans for future, career prospects.
